PKD 2025: the new business activity classification
What PKD 2025 means for businesses and register entries.
What has changed
The Council of Ministers Regulation of 18 December 2024 introduced the Polish Classification of Activities PKD 2025. It replaced PKD 2007 in registration and statistical systems.
From when
PKD 2025 has applied since 1 January 2025. Transitional rules provide an adjustment period until 31 December 2026 for entities entered in a register before that date.
Who is affected
The change affects businesses and other entities using PKD codes in CEIDG, the National Court Register and official statistics. Reclassification of a code should not be equated with a change in the activity actually carried on.
What to prepare
Compare existing codes with the PKD 2007–PKD 2025 correlation tables and check the entry at the next registration filing. Where a code affects a licence, grant or agreement, separate verification may be needed.
